C&M prob one of the best shops in simi, They are always there to please. came in with my vehicle misfiring called and was told to bring it in by Rudy who picked up the phone. They called me about an hour maybe hour and half later said that they need to do a compression test and if it passes we would be in the clear for a tune up and a ignition coil. got a call back and was told motor is strong and need to do a tune up with igniton coil and also had a fuel treatment done. dropped vehicle off at 9am got a call back at 330 from Kenny and was told vehicle is ready for pick up. We feared that our vehicle should be pronounced "dead", but the good folks at C&M reviewed the damage to the engine carefully, and submitted a hopeful proposal to "resurrect" our car for future use. It took a fair amount of time and money to get everything working, but our car now runs better than it was before it died on us. We appreciate the honesty and hard work to make this happen!

I've been a customer of C and M for over five years now and each time I get service done it is always a pleasant experience (other than having to shell out serious money sometimes, but that's not their fault). I dropped in without an appointment last week because the check engine light had come on in my Jeep Grand Cherokee. I was a bit intimidated because I've never had to deal with something like this before and don't know much about cars, but I read so many good things about them on Yelp that I decided to give them to give them a try. I was greeted by Kenny and Mario when I went in, and they were both incredibly nice. I had my nearly 2 year old daughter with me (who isn't always patient!), and Mario was able to immediately give the car a quick check to get an idea of where the problem was. He assured me my car was safe to drive until I could bring it back for full diagnostics a couple days later. 2 days later, I brought the car back, they figured out the problem and were able get the parts to fix it the same day. Great communication, friendly service, and fair prices. I'll definitely be going back!

Phenomenal, I had a hose burst and they fixed it the same day. They have a shuttle service so I was able to go to work while they fixed my car! The people are friendly and explain everything in a way anyone can understand. I went back for further service and am just as satisfied. The main person I interacted with was Ken. My car is older (2007) and needs a little more work so Ken helped me work out a plan so I could fix my car in a few appointments. Recently needed an oil change on my 2015 Prius - synthetic oil! C& M handled things with no problem - at a discount price. (I showed my AAA card and got a great discount) Found Mario to explain things easily and felt comfortable trusting their service and recommendations. The service was fast and reliable. Our 2013 Hyundai Sonata Hybrid had broken down close to home so we were able to park it safely until Monday. First thing before opening time we had her towed to C & M and without appointment they were able to asses the problem and get the it resolved. Unfortunately parts took a day and a bit to come in but these guys were on it and had our car back to us in no time. I searched many reviews here and only found a couple of businesses I felt would be right for the job and im very glad I selected C & M. There work shop is spotless, orderly and very professional. I am the owner of a Ford car and received a quote of $935 from a Ford dealership to replace a battery cable assembly. I just found that price to be outrageous. I searched around and found C&M on Yelp with favorable reviews. Mario took my call explained what he thought was a viable solution to secure my battery and clean up corrosion. I saved around $650. Kenny was also very helpful. I found them to be responsive, honest and fair. I gladly let them do my an oil service that was due at the same time. They were 18 miles away but worth the drive! Just got my truck back from C&M. Very impressed with the team there. Kenny clearly explained the costs of checking my transmission and then followed up with me by phone at each step, clearly indicating the additional costs and time line to complete the repairs. It is great to find a auto shop that prioritizes customer care. I will definitely use them again next time I need repair or service for either my truck or RV.

These guys are top notch with great customer service and fast/reliable service. Took my car in on 2 hours notice and not only did they test what was wrong, they fixed it, picked me up from my house to get my car (for free) and rolled the entire thing into one overall fee which was more than reasonable. C & M was awesome to me during a small crisis. My car broke down in the middle of nowhere on the 118 on a Friday afternoon. I had it towed to C & M (after looking at AAA's recommended list on my phone). They made time for me, explained very clearly that my alternator had given out, never upsold me on anything, and sent me on my way in just a few hours. I mostly spoke with Kenny (who was running the front office) - he was super nice and even threw in a discount even though I'm not a AAA member. Highly recommended!

So happy to have finally found a competent mechanic. I had been back twice to the place that apparently caused the leak by using the wrong size seal and the leak continued. I called around noon on Monday and Mario said I could bring the car in at 2:00! I was thrilled to get it fixed and the oil changed. Mario and Kenny were so nice and did not pressure me to have extra services done. I am so impressed by their service and they are close to home :)

I have a 14 year old GMC Denali with all-wheel drive and 4-wheel steering. These guys diagnosed the problem I was having in my forward gear box and fixed the problem perfectly. Not easy finding parts for a 14-year old truck with all-wheel drive, but they did it. These guys are the real-deal. They won't do you wrong. I highly recommend them.

Took my '14 Ford Focus to C & M last week after endless issues dealing w/ the Ford dealership and was thoroughly impressed! They were speedy, knowledgeable and beyond friendly. They even had a shuttle service that was available instantly to take home/pick up. Mario in particular helped me figure out all of my warranty coverage information, provided me with additional advice for my car and knocked down my diagnostic test price a good amount too! Will definitely be coming back to C & M for future car issues!

Great service! Honest staff! Took my Dodge Caliber to the dealer to get a quote of what was wrong with my vehicle. Dealership quoted be $1300 for like 5 bs issues, Took it to C & M it ended up just being a major alignment issue and I needed new tires. Cost me 350 for the tires and alignment fix. thanks rudy and staff!

They repaired the head gaskets on my 2005 Subaru Outback 3.0 engine and did a great job. They gave me a warranty on the work as well.

On 01/11/18 around 4:45pm my car busted a water line near Moorpark collage. The tow truck picked me up at around 5:15pm and even though C&M closes at 5:30pm. They waited for me to get there and drop off my car. This is the only shop I will now take my car for servicing needs. The staff at C&M are nice, cool, honest and very informative. Rudy and Mario are top notch professionals who are serious about customer service. This shop is a family run business and they have lived in Simi for decades. It's nice to see locally owned shops that have been passed down from father to son. They have worked on my Astro van that I need for my delivery service. The guys were great. I just needed to have my transmission fluid and filter changed. They did a complete inspection of the drivetrain and gave me recommendations for the items that should be watched. I took my lexus sc430 on a Tuesday just before closing. They replaced the timing belt, water pump, idler, tensioner and accessory belt. They were done Thursday and picked it up just before closing. Price was cheaper than dealership. Clean job, looks like nothing was done, but the job is buried inside the front end of the engine, so.... So far so good. Talk to Mario when you're ready. Don't wait, just get it done!

Mario and his guys are AWESOME. They took care of my daughters transmission fluid change on her car that had only 60,000 miles on it and under warranty through Nissan of Simi. When they noticed some metal flakes in the oil they brought management over to review the problem. They took the pan out, took pictures and informed me right a-way. They sent me the pictures via text message so I had them and could review the problem. I informed them I would take it straight over to Nissan once the car was done. When I brought the car to Nissan, the service advisor informed me that it was normal to see metal flakes in the oil, but also questioned why I didn't have Nissan do the transmission change. This Nissan service advisor also accused us of driving the car with no transmission fluid in it. I explained it was just done 15 minutes before we got it to the dealership. LONG STORY short, Mario took pictures, informed me of the problems right away. This was good to have the pictures as evidence of the metal flakes in the transmission fluid. Nissan ended up replacing the transmission under our extended warranty. It wasn't easy because I felt we had to fight for it, But C&M Automotive took care of us like family. THANKS C&M. These are the Good guys here in Simi.

I car was making an awful sound, and I knew my breaks had gone bad. I called C&M and they got me in that day to take care of them. I worked with Mario and he was amazing. I ended up needing breaks and and rotors in my front tires. They even rotated my tires for me as a bonus and let me know that I will need to replace my back tires soon. They gave me a great price, I could tell that they genuinely cared about my safety, and they are very friendly. I would recommend thee guys to anyone who needs work done on their car!

If I tell you about the customer service in this place you are never going to believe it. Here goes..Just to qualify I don't know them personally, they just gave me good service. I took my truck, a 93 Chevy in there to have a leaking transmission line fixed. This was some time ago. Well it started leaking again because my engine mount went bad and the twisting of the engine eventually broke the line at the tip where it flares out at the transmission. That wasn't C&M's fault, I should have attended to it sooner. Well long story short I went in there, spoke with Rudy and he listened to me, (what a concept huh!) and then repaired the thing again for me at no charge, as I had been disabled with two herniated discs in my lower back. Now, I'm no charity case and I would have tried to tackle this job on my own but contorting under a vehicle isn't advisable with my back. Talk about helping out a customer! Bottom line is when you look up customer service in the dictionary you'll see; C&M Transmissions in Simi Valley CA. Thasks again Rudy!

A week ago I dropped off my car to get the outside drivers door handle fixed. My family has been going there for a few years now. When I went in said what needs to be done & money was tight. The two men who worked with me helped me to where I got what needed to be fixed within my budget. Even though I live blocks away have a shuttle service is handy. While I was there to pick up my completed car another customer dropped hers off and needed a car so The person helping her called (& subjected) Enterprise. Then called Enterprise to come pick her up so she could have transportation to a few days. This experience has willed me to return again being that I have a few other things that need to be repaired. These guys are awesome. I took my car to address maintenance warnings popping up in my infotainment display. They looked the car over, told me that all of the fluids checked out, and gave the car a clean bill of health. In addition, and at no charge, the Carotech guys cleaned and detailed the car, and found a key buried under on the carpets that I had been seeking for the better part of a year. I will work with these guys for as many of my repair needs as possible!

I took my Jeep here back in late 2014 after a friend suggested them. I had to have some serious and expensive work done on my Jeep and was very upset and stressed out. They were very thorough in their explanation of what was wrong and what work needed to be done. They also sent emails with the cost of everything so there were no surprises. Rudy was very good at communicating all along the way while the work was being done. And Mario was always ready with a friendly greeting when I went to the shop. There were a few bumps along the road, but Rudy helped get it all sorted out. When my car started making a banging noise a few weeks ago, I started to freak out. I was worried I now had a transmission problem. I was so ready to just ditch this Jeep! But I called them up and dropped off my Jeep. Within hours they were able to figure out that it wasn't anything expensive (I was so relieved!!) and Rudy called me up and let me know the work was all done and I could come and grab my car that evening. They also keep me informed of other work that I should have done on my vehicle which I greatly appreciate. As a busy, stressed out, single mom, with little car knowledge, it is nice to have people you can trust working on your vehicle.

MOST AWESOME, friendly and HELPFUL people I have ever seen! My car got stuck, I towed it to their garage. They said it might be a big problem and could cost me quite a bit. So I rented an Uhaul and wanted to pull my car to my home. Lifting my car up on the trolley was one heck of a job! Three of the guys from this garage (including Mario) put a lotttt of effort to do that! Completely free of charge just as a help to another fellow human being! We've had a lot of things going wrong recently with our vehicles... accidents, totaled cars, etc. And then, late at night a couple of days ago, hubby's '93 Toyota T100 stalled on 118 Fwy heading East at Tapo Tyn due to being low on oil. Well, AAA towed it to C & M. They took a look at it and gave us the diagnoses. Not good. Possibly a new motor.... In and through all of this Rudy and his staff were so kind & understanding. I must have called them at least 7 or 8 times within one day and each time their demeanor never changed ! Rudy and/or his staff were always kind, patient and understanding with me !!! AND TO TOP EVERYTHING OFF, THEY WAIVED THE DIAGNOSIS FEE !!! WHO DOES THAT ?!!! I am beyond grateful & crying !!!! When you've been through so much and people and a company go beyond to help, that speaks so much of their character & business !!!! * I HIGHLY RECOMMEND C & M TO ANYONE & EVERYONE !!! *

Took my mini cooper s in for some long over-due repairs. The service was great and completed quickly. The staff seemed very knowledgeable and I was impressed by the honesty during our discussion of the work the car needed. Will definitely use this shop for future repairs.

Saturday, 14 February 2015 me, my wife, and my grandson are 3/4's of mile east of the Madera exit on CA 118, on our way to the Reagan Library, when my engine blew a sparkplug. We had driven 3 hours from San Diego. We were really bummed at the prospect of having driven all that way just to have to be towed all the way back to San Diego. The trip would've been a total bust. I pull up local auto repair places on my smartphone and for some strange reason I picked C&M to call. Rudy answered, calmed us down, gave us the phone number of a great tow company and within an hour the car was at C&M's garage. Rudy was due to close at 2 o'clock that day. The car got there at 12 noon. I suspect any auto repair place could've easily taken advantage of this out-of-town family in need. I observed Rudy and his staff to be outstanding as I overheard them talk about repair decisions with other clients cars and their priority in getting us back on the road and try to salvage as much of the day as possible. Rudy had our car repaired in 2 hours and the cost was commensurate with what I had paid another repair shop in San Diego to fix another one of my cars that also had blown a plug. I can't praise Rudy and the C&M guys enough. They really did save our bacon that day, so much so that I'm keeping C&M's phone number in my phone in case I'm near Simi Valley again and I have a breakdown. An outstanding business and truly honest people.

I use Rudy at C and M Automotive for all of my service needs, They do excellent work at very reasonable prices. I totally trust them to give me sound advice on my car's needs. I drive a Ford 500 and when it was under warranty they handled it and they are always professional in their approach. C & M is a family run business, as Rudy took it over from his father. I would not take my car to any other shop, as I have never had a problem from any work performed by C&M Automotive.

I have taken my BMW wagon to various shops in Simi Valley over the years and just want to say that I have NEVER received such exceptional service and quality as I have at C & M. My brother sells transmission parts and when I started to hear what I thought was a whine from my trans I asked him where I should go to get it fixed locally and he told me that he wouldn't go anywhere else but C & M, and he was right. To the people who are complaining that it "took longer to fix than expected," I mean, seriously? I have never brought my car in anywhere for major surgery and not had things take longer than expected. Parts need to be ordered, problems are discovered that were not initially diagnosed, etc. Oh,wait, but C & M gave me a rental to drive, on their dime, when my car wasn't delivered when promised even though it was not their fault the car wasn't done. Got my car back, it drives beautifully and they did an excellent job. They really went above and beyond. Really.

This is the only shop I trust to work on my diesel Sprinter Van. Justin is great and they stand by their work. I found them through AAA - they are certified with the Auto Club, giving me extra confidence in seeking their help. I was not disappointed. Plus, I checked around on prices for transmissions and they did it at the lowest price. Nice!

This is a review that late in coming. My first experience with C&M was mid 2013. I have an older civic honda that simply stopped running. The engine was fine and everything points to a transmission problem. I normally drive from Simi Valley to a trusted mechanic in Hollywood for my car repairs. I would rather drive for miles to a trusted and knowledeable mechanic rather than roll the dice on an unproven one. This is different situation as the Honda has to be towed and will be quite expensive and will take days to repair. I consulted friends, read reviews and called the shops in Simi Valley. I had the towed to a repair show but decided not to get the work done when the mechanic said the "tranny" had to be replaced without even considering that it can be a transmission problem that can be fixed without replacing it. After more than a dozen calls I finally found myself talking to Justin and C&M. At the outset, I felt comfortable talking to him as he laid out the steps that they will take to see if the problem can be fixed without having to rebuild or replace the transmission. As things turned out the transmission had to be rebuilt. After the diagnosis. C&M never pressured me to make a decision that benefits them monetarily and gave me more than enough time to decide on whether to spend the money to rebuild the transmission of this older car. Justin helped me make a decision by doing an evaluation of the other parts of the car and see if there is anything major that looks like will also break as soon as transmission is repaired. Eventually, I had C&M rebuild the transmission and I never regretted the decision. Since then, I brought the Honda back to C&M for some minor fixes (.e.g. alignment and replacemenr power window regulator). I have never been disappointed. Justin seems to be in tuned with what decisions I will make about this car. Case in point, Justin saw that the wiper blades are worn out and really needed replacement. He took care of it and now I have on less thing to worry about. For a classy and well trained operation, their fees are not only very fair but they will look at the situations and lay out all options available to address the problem. This review is probably longer than the average positive reviews but I believe the time I spent writing it is the least I can do for the service I received from Justin and the crew. Thank you.

Entire staff is very helpful and HONEST. They will go beyond to make sure you are happy. I have dealt with The owner, with Justin and George with all 3 of my cars for several years, a 2006 H2 hummer, 2002 BMW 745i and 2003 Altima. Each time I brought the vehicles in, I was told usually the same day if not next day of what the issue was and they were repaired very quickly. I have had everything from a radiator replaced to door handles/window issues repaired on the BMW. I had a quote from BMW Rusnak to fix a problem with leaks and a transmission issue and they wanted to charge me over $6500.00... C & M had me out for less than half! They also advised me I didn't need some of the repairs that Rusnak was recommending .... I wont take my vehicles anywhere else. Thanks C & M

I was originally referred to C & M by my dad a few years ago. I have taken my car in for work as little as an oil change and as large as timing belts, alternators, etc. As long as I am local I will never entrust my car or my business to any other shop. As a woman, it's easier to be taken advantage of when it comes to car repairs, but Justin has been nothing but kind and honest to me. They have provided excellent service as a rule and ALWAYS take care of me. Justin has gone above and beyond his duty as an employee of an auto shop. He sorts out rental cars, communicates effectively, and ultimately cares about my safety. I feel blessed to have a mechanic that I can trust!!

C & M automotive & Transmission in Simi Valley is the absolute best. My car wouldn't start so I had it towed there. Not only did they asses what was wrong with my vehicle, they also gave me a discount for being a member of AAA. the mechanics are the best. They called me a few days after having my car fixed to see if it was running up to my expectations. I now use these guys as my personal mechanics whenever I need any work done on my vehicle. They even do a pick up and drop off at my place of work. C & M Automotive & Transmissions team of mechanics are a bunch of honest, wholesome and hardworking mechanics.

I brought my Camaro in because I had trouble starting it. It turned out to be a simple fix and they decided to not even charge me any money. This is the most honest auto repair shop I've ever been too and they have great customer service. Justin was very friendly and he is even bilingual (Spanish). I will definitely be coming back here for any auto repairs in the future. It's very hard to find an honest mechanic these days so if you're looking for honesty and great customer service then this is the place to go to.

After spending a lot of my money, and Rudy's money (I didn't find this out until later) the problem persisted. I went back to ask Rudy "when does the manufacturer have to pay for these repeat offender bad parts. He was very empathetic to my concerns. The first question out of his mouth to me was "have you found a job" . now mind you him and I have not discussed my career woes for well over a year since I got laid off my job. This is the kind of man he is, to remember that. Moving on, he offered to pull a few owner strings and give it another shot, NO CHARGE. To date the vehicle runs to perfection with no issues at all. I personally believe Rudy's investment into a device that allowed him to program the computer instead of sending it out is a major factor in their success. I have to say they are friendly. They did a good job overall. They are a bit pricey. The only reason that I gave them only four stars is because when I picked up my vehicle. The battery was completely dead. I had to get a jump. When I got home and tried to restart it. It would not start. So I had to pull the battery out and charge it myself.
