My experience at the Doylestown hospital cardiac care unit, where I was in recovery after aortic valve replacement surgery, could not possibly have been any better. The surgical team (led by Dr. James McClurkin) literally saved my life (twice!), and the kind and compassionate nursing staff were superb in every respect! I feel most fortunate indeed to have been treated at this facility and will always be grateful for the first-rate care I received. Saul M. Rosenfeld

I trust Doylestown Hospital when it comes to my health. I have never once had a negative experience at this hospital. Earlier this year I had my very first surgery (I had my appendix removed). The surgeon who performed my surgery did a great job and he made sure I was comfortable. The nurses who helped me in the recovery room were amazing. They went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable as possible after I had my surgery.

We had our daughter there and everyone from the staff to the nurses to all of the doctors were top notch. They were friendly and informative, but didn't try and push any agenda as I have heard some maternity wards do. My wife used Doylestown Women's Health and Kressly Pediatrics is our pediatricians office. Both practices were fantastic as well. We will be back with no hesitation for our next child.

This is an editorial response to the negative reviews posted for Doylestown hospital ER. Many years ago, im retired now, I worked in an large emergency room in North Jersey. High patient drama. The poor reviews are because the patients think they are at a 5 star hotel. They are the winers, mentally unstable, BIG babies, clueless when it comes to their health, drug abusers , uninsured too cheap to pay or unemployable, I can go on and on. They expect to have their a**** kissed. The ER is for REAL emergencies not for OH I don't feel good. Health workers are caring professionals to the genuine ill patients who work very hard. Take care of your body and health and you don't have to go to the ER.

I had a mitral valve regurgitation surgery in Doylestown Hospital on 4/21/2017 by Dr. Joseph Auteri and his excellent team. The surgery went extremely well; he was able to repair the valve. The recovery medical staff was knowledgeable, caring, and patient. The post operation care included 2 home visits and care by a very experienced nurse. The rehabilitation program was also excellent. Dr. Auteri is genuinely a kind hearted person who cares about his patients. I would highly recommend Dr. Joseph Auteri , the staff and Doylestown Hospital.

If you have to be in a hospital, Doylestown is the one to be in. I have seen a lot of organizations (many bureaucracies) and this place is absolutely top notch. The staff are very professional, compassionate, competent, cheerful, considerate, and helpful in every possible way. No place is perfect. Many years ago on night shift I ran into one unprofessional jerk over something completely trivial. She is the only dud I've ever met at Doylestown. Just one. My first three stays began in 2004. All were life-threatening conditions. The staff and practitioners took my heart disease and cancer in stride. Yesterday's treatment was equally serious but this time it was scheduled, and I received the same level of attention as before. It was one long day but it felt like a week to me--yet the staff were all excellent. I almost feel like I've left friends behind. I've seen scores of practitioners and staff in a dozen departments at Doylestown and the standard of care has always been high. Yesterday it was Dr. McGarvey Jr. (for the third time!) and the Catheter Lab team including Kelly, Ginny, Norene, Dan (?), Sharon, Pam, and Claudette (?)--the latter two being motorcyclists like me. Also, there was The Gal From The Pharmacy and others whose names I didn't catch or cannot recall. My apologies and thanks go to them all. Sadly, it seems that most people who take the time to rate any product or service tend to be the complainers. Even at Yelp! Too bad. I think I'm as critical as the next person but I marveled at how the staff at Doylestown performed--every time I've been there. They deserve your full consideration. They've saved my life more than once. == PT

It was Christmas evening and I was having a Hypertension event. My wife calmly transported me to Doylestown Hospitals ER and it was there that I met the nicest staff, including Dr. Brenda A Foley. Her cool professionalism made my time there easy to endure...thanks so much for being a pro! Also, the nurses, techs, and even the girl from the billing department had great senses of humor...a must when dealing with me. I still had high blood pressure upon leaving the ER, but I was a happier camper because of Dr. Foley and all the support staff.
