This place is great. I’ve been going to James for about 1.5 years for multiple tattoos removals. (Young and dumb, what can I say) James is cool, easy to talk to, up front with what your treatment plan will realistically look like, and the prices are competitive.

I've no experience with a med spa but took a chance and got a Groupon. They are clean and fast but I felt the girl spent time with me to answer questions. Personable and high quality service comparable to Swiss clinic I visited. Dr. Lisa as well as clinical aesthetician Liz go above and beyond, especially Liz, who takes extra time to make you feel comfortable. I went into this, because I've been eyeing their Groupon, and their yelp site for the last year. I went to Skin Med spa previously, and they were nice. However, I prefer Serenity Med Spa over Skin Medspa. I have to agree with most of the reviews that Dr. Lisa is very honest. Dr. Lisa and I started with 20 units in the eyebrows, 10 units in the forehead. It turns out I needed more in my brows after a follow up session. So Dr. Lisa discounted it for me since I had to come back. Serenity Medspa also has a rewards program for their botox. Their Botox is at $10 per unit, very affordable. Generally, if you call them and you tell them you are thinking about getting their Groupon they will honor the Groupon price for you instead of purchasing it through Groupon. But sometimes Groupon has flash sales, so it might be a little less. A lot of reviews mentioned the bedside manners of some of the staff here, and they've gotten a lot of flack over it. However, people you need to realize this is a HIGH VOLUME medspa. They are booked back to back!! That's why they are able to offer botox at $10 per unit. They are also very honest with people, because they don't believe in injecting more into your body than you actually need. I'm sorry if some of you need to be coddled. It's also nice to get in, and get out of there within an hour if you are on a tight schedule... but sometimes I just want to sit down, and just be able to take a sip of that hot tea I made in the reception area! Their front desk girl, Latesha is awesome!!! Super nice, and friendly. She answered all of my questions, and very patient. I would say I prefer her over the other girls, because of her great attitude!! Hope she stays at this place for a while!! Anyway all in all, I will be back!!! They are super clean, friendly, fast, affordable. The only 2 criticisms I have is just slow it down a little, sometimes I just want to be able to enjoy that tea I just made. My experience at Serenity was okay. It was more like going to the doctor's not quite a spa. I had a stressful time in my life and had severe adult acne that wasn't treatable with over the counter medication. I didn't want to go to a dermatologist because I've seen people take medication that dried out their skin. So I decided to let Lisa take a look at me to see what can be done. She suggested a treatment using light, and use obagi products afterwards. I followed her directions, and after a couple of months, my acne had cleared alot and the scarring was almost gone. I was really happy with the results. I could have gone to a non-medical facialist, but I don't think the results would be so fast. I would recommend her for little treatments like that.

This is a review about JESSICA, one of the staff. Every time I go for my laser tattoo removal appointment, I pray that I get JESSICA to apply numbing cream on my tattoo. She is by far the BEST at it. She does an extremely thorough job in applying the numbing cream and vigorously rubs it into the skin for quite a while. The way it should be. I once had a newbie who was so timid in applying numbing cream. She didn't apply enough of it and I had to request that she apply more. Also, her application was very superficial, as if she was afraid of hurting me! I had her twice last year and she was the same way both times. I haven't seen her this year and hope I don't get her again. JESSICA is the BEST!

First of all, this spa is definitely open for business. On my visit with Dr Lisa Kang, I was blown away by her remarkable results. Wow! First, she addressed my facial filler/botox requests, perfectly. Then she suggested that she could take are of the bags under my eyes. "Are you kidding me," I said.... "Of course, I want them taken care of. " And somehow, she got rid of them. I have never been offered that procedure by any other doc in this business. Then she said she could diminish neck ropes. I used a Groupon and it was simple. The staff was amazing. I met with Dr. Kang and she helped my figure out what I wanted and our plan without trying to up-sell me on anything. There was NO PAIN from the Botox/Dysport. It was my first time getting these treatments and I was pleased and surprised. I was told effects would show in a few days. I saw the effects 6 hours later. I have an appointment for another type of treatment tomorrow. They are so good I already referred a friend to make an appointment this week. I recently had filler injections under my eyes to help with dark circles and then a week later had a new laser treatment called Clear and Brilliant. The staff is friendly on the phone when you make your appointment and made sure to answer all my questions. I arrived to a quiet, well cleaned spa and was greeted by a young woman who quickly checked me in and shortly after that I was photographed and in the treatment room with Dr Lisa. Dr Lisa and I discussed together what the best option was to improve the darkness under my eyes. Partially caused by hereditary, not a perfect night of sleep every night, and a high stress job. Fillers was the answer and Dr Lisa did an AWESOME job! I could not be happier! I'm wearing less makeup under my eyes and have already been told I look like I've been sleeping better by my sister who had no idea. I am surprised by what a difference it has made in such a short amount of time. Dr Lisa also suggested that I come back a week after having the filler to get a laser treatment called Clear and Brilliant on my face that tightens pores, helps smooth fine lines and helps with slight discolorations. Had the same great experience with all the office staff and Dr Lisa herself and my skin is now so smooth and my pores on my nose visibly smaller. Serenity MedSpa is a great place to enhance your beauty.

Having received number of treatments of various kind with impeccable results from Dr. Lisa past several years , it was no brainer to see her when it came time for, ahem... ;-), shall I say, little less of me. Been somewhat liberal with deserts (I do have my weakness) when out with clients and it was beginning to show, unfortunately. As usual, her patience and attentiveness was second to none when addressing my needs and recommending viable options. I really appreciated her for stressing lifestyle changes along with simple to follow diet plan. Fast forward three month, 15 lbs lighter, I'm feeling fantastic again without that drained feeling that comes after long day of client meetings after meetings. So much more energy and spring in my step. Downside is that I now have to do some serious shopping to update my wardrobe to go along with my new figure! I have been coming to Serenity MedSpa for awhile now and I could't be happier with their services and the staff. They are all very friendly and helpful and the doctors are very professional and skillful as well as knowledgeable. The medspa is also very clean and comfortable. I love the fact that they are on the cutting edge and have the latest and the best laser treatments. I have had several sessions of the laser hair removal and have been getting excellent results. I love their new laser hair removal machine which is SO much more comfortable and effective than the laser that were used at a different medspa that I went to few years ago. I actually stopped getting laser hair removal treatments back then due to the pain but when my friend told me about Serenity, I decided to give it a try again and was pleasantly surprised how quick and painless the treatments were. Now, I am getting more areas done and look forward to not having to shave everyday and worry about getting ingrown hair! I also have been thinking about getting Botox for my frown lines but was kind of scare of any potential side effects. But, after I spoke to Dr. Lisa about it, I decided to give it a try. She explained everything and put me at ease. I could't believe how easy the treatment was. They use this cold air machine during the injection and I could barely feel the needle poke. Now, my frown lines are gone and I love the results. I have told my friends about Serenity and they have all been very happy with them. I would highly recommend Serenity MedSpa to everyone. I wrote a review here last July and for some reason it is no longer here. I have been going to Dr Kang for a few years now and I love her. She is a very professional medical Doctor; reserved, soft spoken and warm. She brings an artistic technique to her treatments and doesn't hard sell ever but will make suggestions which I believe are in my best interest. I feel she has an investment in making me look as good as she can. I like that. As for the assistants and staff, they have always been very sweet.

I self confessed metrosexual, I always make sure that I have at least a quarterly day at the spa and I happy that Serenity MedSpa is there to pamper my skin. It is not at all about physical but going to spa keeps me happy and lighter inside. I would like to say that Dr. Kang and Dr. Lisa provided me excellent service and care. Before I posted, I read through the reviews and am amazed at the night and day experiences. I originally came here just to post my praises about this awesome treasure so close to home, but now I want to add some points for those who have tried them and gone elsewhere as well as those considering using this service. For the those who had a bad experience, did you say anything? I know both of these doctors. They are really easy to talk to. Don't get me wrong, it is a busy office. I have seen staff engrossed in paperwork, but I have never sent an email that wasn't answered. Not saying anyone here didn't; but just consider before giving a bad review, sharing your concerns and see if they do anything to correct them. I say this because I have gone to other California doctors and had some really BAD service in the past - from Beverly Hills to Calistoga; have spoken to office managers and after explaining the situation, received the "dead pan face of indifference". For that crew, I quickly join you in the belief that these public forums are excellent places to warn others! And I do. The best I can do here is just share my experience: I know I am a difficult client, I have an insane schedule, a separate medical condition, and can't remember an appointment date to save my life! My outer appearance has been used to generate revenue for many years so I am also a perfectionist. I have searched many places to take care of stubborn stomach pouch and finally chose Serenity. They knew exactly how to contour my body for my figure! I was so happy, I had other areas done, including the top of my back and my inner thighs. Dr. David Kang knew exactly how much to remove and how to shape me so my behind was left as is! TRUST ME, I was very leery about allowing any doctor near the natural shape of my behind! I told him exactly how I wanted to look and that is exactly what I received! As I had used control garments in the past to control my stomach and thighs, no one knew I had any work done! The next time out, I wore a swimsuit. Everyone complimented saying the suit was made for, "folks with a figure like mine", not having a clue I had any work done. When I told them about the Smart LIpo, at first they didn't believe me, so I showed them the website! Serenity isn't one of those places were only one staff is nice, they ALL are!! As a person of a group who is protected under the hate crime laws, I have never experienced any inappropriate behavior by either Drs or their staff (This is not to disallow creditability to anyone else's experience). I have arrived late, early, been seen right away, have had to wait. But once receiving service, I have never felt rushed. Actually, spoiled by the Claremont Spa, I would definitely say I am a lingering type. My first service was over a year ago and during the lapse between treatment, anytime I sent an email, or called they would get back to me. For the first time in a decade , I have lost weight, w/ the 40 day HCG and 500 calorie regimen, Zerona, and acupuncture.........28 pounds and over 15 inches (breastline, waist, hips, thigh, calf)!!!! My BMI also dropped from 32 to 28. Although I was skeptical at the onset, when I was very disciplined in only eating items on the list, I lost weight quickly and could still walk 2-3 miles a day. When I startted to deviate from the allowed foods, my weight loss slowed, but was still steady. I have had no difficulty staying on the maintenance diet and continue to lose, albeit more slowly. For years, my metabolism has been extremely slow, after being diagnosed as hypothyroid and finishing menopause. This HCG regimen has been successful in "re-setting" my metabolism. i went to serenity med spa and talked to james yoon.he was cool and told me the procedures of tattoo removal.he then added numbing cream and waited in the lobby for 30 min. then i got my left arm done and it hurt a lot even though i had the numbing cream on for 30 min..so i told him if i can get a shot to numb my arm like they use at the dentist when they pull out your teeth. it was way better..i barely felt it!!!!! anyways the service was great and JAMES YOON IS A COOL GUY!!!

I heard many good things through a friend about Serenity Medspa. At first, I was reluctant since I am not into cosmetic surgeries. However, after seeing the result on my friend, I decided to take the plunge. All I could say is WOW!! Dr. Lisa and Dr. David (they go by their first name since they are sister and brother) are both board certified surgeons as well as cosmetology surgeries. Serenity Medspa is located in a very nice area in the Union Square near other day spas and boutique stores- there is a parking couple blocks from the medspa. Moment I walked in, I was very impressed with the décor, and I was greeted with friendly staff who brought me into the procedure room. I got smartlipo on my abdomen and love handles. Since procedure is done under local anesthesia, there was no need for general anesthesia and I was awake throughout the procedure, chatting with the staff and Dr. Lisa and Dr. David. For me, I did not feel much pain at all throughout and it was such an enjoyable experience. The fact that they are skilled surgeons is a BIG plus and it definitely shows. Most of all, the best part is the RESULT!! I am still shocked at how effective this procedure is. My waist size has decreased good 3-4 inches just from the one day procedure. The area feels little sore for couple week, but not too bad since I went out to the movies the next day. I am already planning to save up for the next procedure!!!! If you could afford it, in my opinion, Serenity medspa is just top of the line with reasonable price. Recommend highly.

When I learned that both of the doctors (Lisa & David) are very experienced surgeons, my confidence soared. I've gone through other medical procedures and it was important to me that these were experienced professionals. And they were great. They are a great team. And they have that "magic touch." Even though I exercised regularly and ate carefully, I couldn't get rid of those "bulges", especially after I turned 50. Since my exercise, de-tox and diet regiment had cleared away the intestinal fat, the result of the smart-lipo was "tremendous". I feel like I've shed 10 years, and everyone has noticed how great I look - even though it's been only three weeks since the lipo. In addition, the skin care service has added brilliance and vitality to my whole appearance. I strongly recommend Drs. Lisa and David Kang - if you want to add youth and vitality to your whole body. You will not only look many years younger, but feel great. Their after-service is also excellent. They are always available, kind and professional.

I go to Serenity for laser hair removal and they are great! Their facilities are spacious and clean, their staff knowledgeable and helpful. Dr. Lisa Kang is exceptional.

I used to have very clear skin, but as I have gotten older, the brown spots on my skin have become more pronounced. I went in to Serenity for their complimentary Visia skin complexion analysis to see what could be done about this. It was interesting to see how my skin rated compared to others of my age. Dr. Lisa Kang thoroughly reviewed the results with me, and recommended the IPL treatment to remove the spots. After reviewing all of my options with her, I agreed to try it. I am not typically one to seek out these types of procedures (I've never received one before), which meant that on the day of the procedure I was rather nervous about receiving the treatment. Dr. Kang's patience in walking me through the process again (even though I knew what it entailed) as well as sharing statistical information on the treatment outcome was helpful. Her gentle manner worked wonders in assuring me. After receiving the treatment, I felt rather silly about being nervous about it, for it was a breeze. And I have to say, I am delighted with the results; it feels great to look in the mirror and see a clearer complexion! I also got a SilkPeel treatment. I love the fact that the results are instantly noticeable. My boyfriend even commented that my skin seemed softer, without me fishing for input from him! I highly recommend Serenity MedSpa.

Lisa and her brother are both very great!! The front desk people are also very friendly. You don't feel rushed or hurried in any way. Their new machine (hair removal) is mush better than the "other" one had before.
